From the Long Beach Creative Group:
POW! The Long Beach Creative Group announces our next show: Pop-Surrealism. Originally considered “low brow” art, pop has come into its own in more recent years, evolving into a versatile and reputable art style.
We asked artists to tap into their rebel selves and let their imaginations run wild. The result is a potpourri of the surreal, some spooky and some whimsical. There are comic-book images, satires, and toys, ranging from the mysterious to the playful. Peppered with a few abstractions, there is something for everyone in Pop.
Join the fun! There are two openings celebrating the 47 artists on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30, from 1 to 4 PM.
The show runs from April 29 to Saturday, May 27.
LBCG located at the Rod Briggs Gallery:
2221 E. Broadway, Long Beach.
